Dubai Industrial City to showcase food manufacturing strengths at Anuga in Germany
Dubai, UAE, 3 October 2025: Dubai Industrial City, the Middle East’s leading manufacturing and logistics hub and part of TECOM Group PJSC, will join Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), in showcasing the city’s appeal to global manufacturers at Anuga, the world’s leading food and beverage (F&B) trade fair, on 4-8 October in Cologne, Germany.
Dubai Industrial City’s second consecutive participation at the biennial event after its debut in 2023 aims to address high interest from European F&B industry leaders in the district’s unparalleled offering for the manufacturing sector. Today, the district is home to more than 1,100 international and regional manufacturers and 350+ operational factories, including F&B leaders such as Patchi, Asmak, Al Barakah Dates, and Pure Ice Cream.
“A pro-business manufacturing environment – supported by progressive regulations, world-class infrastructure, and global connectivity – is vital for F&B companies seeking sustainable growth,” said Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group, on behalf of Dubai Industrial City. “Our return to Anuga follows tangibly heightened interest from European F&B leaders as Dubai Industrial City reaffirms its position as a critical gateway in the global food manufacturing and distribution value chain. Aligned with the UAE’s National Food Security Strategy 2051, Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’, our ecosystem presents a compelling proposition for market expansion, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.”
Partnering for progress
An engine of economic growth, Dubai Industrial City supports businesses seeking to leverage the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) framework, which aims to deepen ties with strategic partners around the world. The UAE and the European Union (EU) are continuing negotiations towards a CEPA under this framework. In 2024, non-oil trade between the UAE and the EU exceeded AED 248 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 3.6%.
Dubai Industrial City contributes towards strengthening Dubai’s reputation as a global foreign direct investment (FDI) destination. According to Financial Times Ltd’s ‘fDi Markets’ data, Dubai has maintained its No. 1 global ranking for Greenfield FDI projects for the eighth consecutive half-year period since H2 2021. In the first half of 2025 alone, Dubai attracted an unprecedented 643 Greenfield FDI projects, marking the highest number ever recorded for any city globally in a half-year period.
Strategically located in proximity to vital transport hubs such as Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport, and home to an Etihad Rail freight terminal, Dubai Industrial City offers unparalleled access to a vast regional and international consumer market from Dubai, a global trade and tourism hub at an eight-hour flight of two-thirds of the global population.
The district is championing an environment for international investors, manufacturers, and industry leaders to capitalise on the UAE’s and Dubai’s pro-business ecosystem. Dubai Industrial City’s sector-specific infrastructure, including industrial lands and storage and logistics spaces, and its intelligently designed masterplan with six sector-specific zones, are designed to support manufacturing innovation by nurturing circular economy principles.
Dubai Industrial City is part of TECOM Group’s portfolio of business districts that includes Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Production City, Dubai Knowledge Park, Dubai International Academic City, Dubai Design District (d3), and Dubai Science Park.
