Dubai Industrial City Hosts Fifth Annual Gala Dinner

Dubai Industrial City, one of the largest industrial hubs in the region and a member of TECOM Group, celebrated the achievements and outstanding contributions of its business partners in 2019 during its fifth annual gala dinner.

 

The annual event, held at Armani Hotel Dubai, hosted by Saud Abu Al-Shawareb, Managing Director of Dubai Industrial City, in the presence of Abdulla Belhoul, Chief Commercial Officer in TECOM Group, TECOM Group’s senior executives, and Dubai Industrial City’s business partners and associates. In the course of the evening, Dubai Industrial City’s leadership shared its vision for the industrial sector in light of the rapid developments driven by the digital transformation in the country, and recognised ten of its partners for their significant achievements and contributions in 2019.

 

In his welcome speech, Abu Al-Shawareb said: “Dubai Industrial City is a key driver of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030, therefore its vision aligns with the vision of the wise UAE leadership. We seek to contribute to consolidating Dubai’s status as an advanced and sustainable global industrial hub.” 

 

He added: “As a success enabler, Dubai Industrial City is committed towards its business partners across diverse sectors by continuously developing an advanced and sustainable industry, expanding and advancing our infrastructure, and supporting and connecting our business community, paving the way for more collaboration, innovation and growth in 2020 and beyond.”

 

During the award ceremony part of the gala dinner, Dubai Industrial City recognised key achievements of its business partners in 2019. Standard Carpets received the Innovative Technology Award, EnviroServe picked up the Best Environmental and Sustainability Award, and Dana Steel Industry took away the Best Factory Design Award. Global Shipping and Logistics (GSL) won the Intelligent Infrastructure Award, and Bond Interiors bagged the Advanced Machinery Award. Al Shirawi Facility Management secured the Long-standing Community Support Award, and Sapphire Mall collected the Community Retail Support Award. Meanwhile, Noor Dubai, Al Jaber Optical, and Rashid Hospital shared the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
